2013 Libertad 2oz Silver Proof

The Proof Mexican Silver Libertad coins are available in seven weights, with only two weights available over 1 oz silver. The series has four coins available below the 1 oz silver mark, but only the 2 oz and 5 oz coins are offered in proof in a weight larger than 1 oz silver. There is also a 1 Kilo coin, but it is technically listed separately as a proof-like specimen.

Based out of the oldest mint in the Americas, the Mexican Libertad series is sweeping nations with popularity and curiosity. This spectacular bullion collection comes with ancient history and folklore packed in one coin. The design of the Libertad was inspired by the gold bullion coin minted back in 1921, the Centenario. The Centenario was produced to commemorate Mexico’s 100th year of independence from Spain. Each silver coin is .999 pure silver, and comes in brilliant uncirculated or proof condition. The only difference between Brilliant Uncirculated and Proof Mexican Silver Libertads is the finish. The BU Libertads have a matte, frosted finish, while the Proof Libertads contain a glossy, mirror-like surface.
